This is Dr Jo Pye. Jo sadly passed away earlier this year. A native New Yorker, Jo had settled in Cornwall in the 1970s after working on the excavations at Carn Brea Neolithic tor enclosure with Roger Mercer. She was a dedicated excavator at Boden and will be much missed by all at MAG

Here is Jo with fragments from a Romano-British bowl, found on the west side of the fogou field (properly called 'Higher Way Field') in an area of Romano-British activity characterised by unusual curving gullies, hollows and pits. The fragments were found in a small pit which appeared to have been deliberately covered with stones, close to a possible grave.
